a day trip tp nusa lombongan is great. on the fast boat is probally better with a child since you have more time for the water sports they have to offer there. if you are into long and leiserly, take the sail boat. it is slow and mellow but a great ride. also, snorkeling in amed is very nice. reef close to shore , no current, good things to see, go to matahari hotel and they have dive shop where you can rent mask/fins... and hold your things for you. nice drive there and back as well. also, a ride to tabanan to the rice feilds is good. beautiful views, mellow day. very local scenery on the way ie, kids bathing in the rivers...also good sunset time is take one of the "fishing boats" down by the discovery plaza, but on the beach before there. about Rp 300,000 for a tour by sea up and down kuta beach, you go to about double 6 and back. takes about 2hours, bring few things to eat and drink and watch the sunset from the sea!
