Why dont you try Samsara Hotel; Adrian the manager of the Bali Garden hotel wife owns it its just off Jl Legian up a lane about 100 meteres towards Legian from the monument. Its only fairly new not very big and the rooms are quite spacious check out their website it was about 400000/nite with breakfast.
