We have stayed four times at Villa Cepik so I may be able to answer your questions. First, Gusti, the caretaker, can hire a car and will drive you wherever you need to go.
There are many fun places to visit around the area. Besakih, Pasir Putih (white sand beach) Tenganan, Amlapura markets, Klungkung markets, and many other areas for walking.
The walk from Tenganan to the
tirtagannga water temple is a good one.
All in all I would say that Sideman and villa Cepik is my favorite place in all of Bali. If you go please say hello to Gusti and Ida (the best cook on the island).
