Just returned from a week in Bali. Went over on my own although I met up with friends and family while there. Flew Indo/Oz Jet. Good flight, seems to be more leg room, food nice and crew pleasant. On time both directions. Checked in to Losari but only managed to stay 3 nights. If you like peace on your holiday do not stay here. Moved over the road to Suriwathi. Lovely budget accommodation that was recomended on BTF. Staff very friendly, gorgeous gardens and quiet. Loved it.
Had a peek at Wida Hotel while over there and that also looks good for cheap accommodation. Quite modern and has sat TV and tea/coffee. Very cheap on the internet. Also checked out the new KP wing and pool. Looks nice although a bit barren at this stage. Friends said no problems getting a table at breakfast.
Ate at Bali Beach Shack, Warung Asia (personal favourite), Kumala, Mamas, Tommy's which were all good. Not so good were La Monde, Atmoshpere and Seaside. Weather great, clear skies and little rain. I have never stayed on my own and although I was glad to have company for dinner and occasionally lunch I really enjoyed being on my own and the week seemed to last that little bit longer.
