We've noticed Geneva's wooden products have been getting progressivly worse over the last few years, each time we go there - i suppose its the ideal environment for borers, being dark and not far between meals with all the wooden product.
We check the shelves under the product for wood dust, and even tap items on the floor.
Any doubtful items spray them well and leave in a bag overnight, then tap on solid surface until nothing falls out, you should then have no problem through customs.
