Have you seen my sign about having to remind him to put the meter on? if its not on the dash, it may be in the glove box (it was on our last trip 12 months ago) - might be a bit ratty now as i wrote it about 2 years ago.
He has us in fits of laughter about all the times he picks up passengers and forgets to put the meter on and passengers think he is trying to rip them off (hence my sign) and ends up not charging them the fare to show he honestly forgets.
