Sent daughters passport for renewal to the Brit High Commission mid Feb - 20 to 25 working days processing - still waiting. No fast track offered - "won't do you any good if you fly to Canberra to try and collect, it's at the printers and will take another 3 weeks" - want to speak to them it costs $9.90 + call cost each time - and they have the nerve to sting you $300+ for the passport service. Have had to postpone flights/accommodation etc which means another of our passports will not quite have the 6 months left so here we go again. Other daughters Aussie passport took 10 days including post-time, fast track offered, local call number provided and an email to say it was on its way - too easy.
