I'm heading back in 2 weeks and staying at Troppo for a month.
Not because it's the most luxurious or fancy place to stay, but because every time I have been there I have met the best people, most of which i still see, or stay in touch with, from all over the world.
the rooms are very basic, but when are you ever there apart from sleeping and showering? Honestly?
Like people have said the staff are what makes tropp Special. They are fun, friendly, and make you feel part of the place, like family in fact.
they always say hello to you, they ask if you need anything, they suggest places to go, things to do so that you will get the most out of your holiday in Bali.
I love the place, i love the people, and each time I have thought about staying somewhere else, i just can't do it.
But it's not to everyones liking, some people want more comfort in their rooms, or whatever, all I know is, the pool wing is where I stay, it's what I love, it's close to most things (clubs especially) so if you are under 35, like a good time, love meeting new people from all over the world, don't mind the basic room, then you will have a good time.
As for having to wear things in the shower, well as far as I'm concerned, that's rubbish... I've never had an issue in all my time there. I think the worst thing that has happened is an air conditioner stopped working, and when I told them, they did not hesitate in moving me to another room straight away.
it is what it is, and I like it.
these next two weeks can't go quick enough..
