Have you done the immigration things every month ? Have you tried to negotiate large deals - buying a house, long term lease, etc.. And as for working, why? Have you tried living on Rp 100.000 profit per day... if you can't support yourselves for the rest of your lives don't bother living here.
Now having said the bad things, I will admit I never want to live in the west again. But this is not Paradise by a long way... just better than what you want to leave. Many days I wonder why here, but the next day I remember and thank God i made the move.
