sealice in water off Amed

I would like to know when sealice are around.
I didn't encounter any in April and am unsure if they are there in October.Not that I blame them, it's a magnificent place.
Also does anyone have any fav remedies for deterring them.
Apparently if there are heaps around, the less clothes you have on, the better
