Well here goes with a JBR. Not very good at this so please if I have spelt something wrong don't worry you will all know what I mean.

Left on the 13Mar from Perth on Garuda great flight left on time the meal was good and the Bintang was exceptionally cold (just one for the taste). Arrived in Bali at 11.40 am on time through VOA paid in Aus $ got rupiah in change. Through customs and out to the taxi booth 40000 rup. For the ride to Kuta to the BGH.

Arrived at the Hotel at about 12.30 got room key RM338 good room facing the gardens with nice sound of the waves gently caressing the sand on the beach. Unpack and go for a walk to Mata Hari's for some provisions, and then back to Hotel for a swim in the new Pool area. This area is now looking very nice and the back Pool overlooking the Ocean is great just the thing for relaxing.

DISASTER at the Pool Bar, Was informed that Bintang had run out and new lot was not yet cold OH!NO! had to wait at least another 30 mins for cold one. The Boss was not happy with her PINA Colada too watery but you cant have everything perfect I said but you did marry me, That got a funny response I cant repeat here. The Pool area is run by a separate co. from the Hotel and they are having a few teething problems but that will be sorted out soon and hey, it is Bali and you do accept a few hiccups now and then.

The better half had some new Sunglasses made Multifocal with new Balance Frames worked out at $169 Aud. At the optical shop next door at the Kartika Mall She reckons they are great and they do look good. She also had a gold Bangle made by the lady at the jewelry shop at he Kuta Paradiso took her old broken bits and had them melted down. It came out great.

Had to make a decision on where to eat for the 1st night, I think we settled on GOSHA , Had the steamed snapper with ginger and shallots one of our favourite dishes in Bali. Have eaten here on every visit and was not disappointed in the meal.

Back to Hotel after Dinner walked down Legian St. it didn't appear to be that busy but there were a lot of people around so it is starting to pick up. Got a bluebird taxi about half way.

The bed at the Hotel was so comfortable had a really good nights sleep and awoke fully refreshed to face the new day. I think this was the going to be a shopping day.
Down to Diannes Shop and bought a few items of clothing as I didn't bring that much with me so needed another pair of shorts and a couple of t shirts and singlets. A few things for the grandchildren A good price for all the stuff we bought and then back off to the Pool for another swim and a couple of Coldies. Well that is all for now until I can remember what we did on day 3 and 4. I think we went to Carefour and to Animale outlet shop. Oh and we did meet someone from the Forum Hello ROBBO.
