We didnt have any children with us, but there were plenty of other boats we saw that had children in them. You can organise with the guides to have life jackets for the adults and the kids. We stayed at The Melka (the hotly debated hotel that has the dolphins in the pools). However we found that the rooms there werent great but the grounds were nice. Hope this helps :)
