Have you thought of flying QFF to Jakarta? I find that QFF seats to Jakarta are relatively plentiful.
For Eastern States passengers, QF41 arrives at 7.30 pm. As Qantas is a full service airline, Eastern States passengers also have a more comfortable flight than flying Jetstar to Bali. There are frequent cheap flights from Jakarta to Bali.
