Went to the local travel agent today mainly to get info on Japan as our house only has travel brochures on Bali - going back years (I never throw them out as over the years brochures show different photos of the hotels and a lot of them only tell you low season price, so when we find a hotel we may like I go back through the brochures and see its prices, photos and different companies give you different info as well).
But for Japan I have nothing only that I have been told its very dear. (Does anyone know an internet forum for Japan?) So asked travel agent the price of accommadation there and after talking for a while asked if I could book accommadation only with them not airfare?
He looked at me and asked if I had bought airfares on the net, I replied I had a really great price from Bestflights but had not purchased tickets as yet. He did a lot of calculations and his price for airfares, taxes and no booking fee was $32 each less than Bestflights and that was with me not even asking for a price!
I told him I'd get back to him on Monday, looks like I'll be booking with him.
Thanks for all your kind words now and in the past, funny but it means a lot. We are looking forward to going back to Bali and I've even started practising Indonesian again.
