I always booked direct and didn't have to pay until a month before departure but now due to lots of people booking and then cancelling when they had to pay Garuda has decided to ask for payment up front. If you book with a travel agent with a minimum of 3 nights accommodation you only have to pay a deposit with the remainder due 2 months before departure. I think Best Flights require payment up front at time of booking as well. Regards Jeanne
