We LOVE the Griya. Have stayed there every year, and will be there again in June. Yaaayyyy, can't wait!
First time we stayed there in 2001 we had garden rooms and they were tired then. Actually, my sister had the garden room and my husband and I got mistakenly put in a room with twin beds instead of in a double. I threw a wobbly, and we got the garden cottage. Next time we all had garden rooms, and from then on we asked for the garden cottages and got them. The cottages aren't advertised, so if you want to upgrade to them you'd have to email the Griya and ask for them. They'll do their best to accommodate you.
We've thought of staying elsewhere, but always decide to stay with the Griya. The staff are so nice, and the gardens and pools really well cared for.
