From Perth its only a 3 hour flight, easy with little kids. Its a place where I can shop constantly and not break the bank, the kids can get attention 24/7 from lovely people and aren't seen as a pain, the hubby can sit back, relax, drink and have people wait on him, the customer service is exceptional, which I like.
We know our way around and there is always something new to see and do.
Its a little bit of all of this plus our beautiful friends that we would do anything for, just seeing their smiles makes our holiday the best it could ever be.
We only go once a year as there are a lot of other places in the world to see and we like to intersperse our Bali trips with other trips elsewhere. Sometimes we've even gone 18 months without a trip, eek! lol
