Nope we didn't have to pay to take photos with the elephants when they stopped.
We also didn't pay extra for photos with the animals. Apparently you get 1 free photo session with an animal (taken with your own camera) and after that it's 20,000. I had photos with 3 different animals and didn't have to pay extra for any of them. They never marked my wrist band. In fact, none of us got charged for any of the photos.
