Our first trip to Bali was many moons ago for our honeymoon. Then we spent our leisure time exploring other parts of the globe.
Over the past few years we have become regular visitors again to Bali and appreciate the smiles as we take early morning walk and the friendliness of its people.
Bali has a unique combination of luxury accomodation, cheap shopping, fantastic world-class restaurants (which are value for money)and yet above all of that, it is the people we have met and made friends and visited their homes, that make me appreciate that you don't need a lot of material things to be happy.
I admire the priority given to things spiritual by the Balinese, when in the western world, this can be much lower in terms of time and effort.
So to escape from our working life, it is nice to return to Bali and relax as soon as we step off at the airport. We plan our next trip even before we leave and that has never happened to us in any other destination.
