I just got a letter from my Australian Health Fund stating as of the 1st July 2008 the new legislation does not permit health funds to pay benefits for any medical or ancillary services incurred outside Australia. ALL overseas benefits will cease from 1 July 2008.
There will be many changes with this new legislation, but this one will affect many on here.
So those who were lucky to have a medical fund who has paid for these now or in the past, looks like they will no longer get that added benefit as of the 1st July.
