It is definitely the best room, if there are only 2 of you. Email the very lovely Elaine there & ask for it. I think Room 2 is second from the front on the opposite side from 15. Re: the kitchen appliances - when we were there in 2006 the power supply was weak, so using the kettle, toaster, microwave was time-consuming, so don't rely on using them unless things have changed.
There are some nice walks through the back areas near Shangrila - just walk out the drive & go straight ahead along & around dirt tracks. Also some nice warungs along the way.
