hotels offer cheaper room rates and then rip off the newer or novice tourists with their drink prices. The ++ bullsh*t carefully placed at the bottom of the menu is something I have always hated.
The 22,000rp for a beer ends up being just under 27,000rp per stubbie.
We have a system where tourists pay the wholesale price of a crate of beer (150,000rp)and we then put this on ice. (I am a fussy prick when it comes to cold beer)
This means a bloke like your husband would be drinking his dozen beers a day for just over 6,000rp each.
It makes a hell of a difference if his daily beer bill drops from 324,000 rp to 75,000rp.
It suddenly means that you are getting a room, breakfast and his beer for the same price as the beer bill in various other places.
It can quickly mean the difference between having one holiday a year or having two.
