I really appreciate all your info. A few trips ago we went to a stone carver village in bali and they were quoting me around $300 per cubic metre to bring back some carvings they insisted this was to my door (I live on the gold coast) I will be a lot more carefull and really investigate before I go with this option. The hard thing is how to separate the bull from the truth. Just part of the joy of Indo and good for your people reading skills I suppose.
