Hi Rochelle,

We booked the Jogjakata leg from denpasar over the net and paid about AUD$100 - I think. Just my husband went as I wasn't that keen. We had a driver pick him up - the driver was sent by our shipping agent - and took him around.

The biggest problem is gettting a reliable shipping agent - this is our first container with this guy so I'm not happy to pass on his information as I really don't know what he's like yet. Also if your only buying 3 or 4 cubic meters - you will get charged a fair bit. You didn't say where you ship into??

You also have to remember that there are charges getting it back into Australia as well as the freight etc. Don't believe anything they tell you as they will tell you anything to make a sale. It's not hard to ship into Aus you just need good people and Indonesia is - in my experience - the hardest place to ship into.

If you read some of the other reports - people will tell you about this person that is "FANTASTIC" and will do all the paperwork and everything but trust me, it can be a nightmare. If there is drama - like a bit of bark on the crate - it can cost heaps to get the container through quarantine.

My advise, if your only going to buy a few pieces, don't go to all the trouble and find it somewhere here in Aus and just go over and have a fantastic holiday without all the drama.

If your really keen, then approach someone in Bali to do it for you but be aware of the "true" costs.

You can email me at info@aussiepotsandpalms.com.au if you would like any further information.

cheers
Lyn
