whitewater rafting

hi has anybody got any good places to go whitewater rafting with not many STEPS up going down's ok. as my husband went on a trip 3 yrs ago and it nearly killed him he couldn't walk for a week to many steps to get up when finished. need imfo for may 2008.thanks
