We generally take cash as we find we get a better exchange rate. In the past we have taken US Dollars also, and with the current exchange rate we have already changed some for our trip later this year. But they do like higher denominations and new notes. We just put in in our room safe with or passports. We don't like using the ATMS unless we have to, as you get charged for using them and over a week or so there could be few times you visit it.
