A friend and I recently went Qantas via Perth and had the same experience on the way back. First they lost 2 of our bags and same as you absolutely no apology, in fact they made us feel as though we were the ones putting them out!!!! We found the flight attendants not very helpful and in fact quite rude, heard a few people comment similarly so it wasn't just us! We also almost missed our connection and had to catch a taxi to the next terminal rather than wait until the next bus which was 50 minutes away. Would have meant catching the next available flight which was 9 hours later....no thanks. So we had to pay the $25 taxi fare out of our own pocket.., only just made it to the flight and it was so stressful not what you want after coming home from such a fantastic trip! We have booked again for Oct and are going Singapore Air this time. Have used them before and they are excellent....we thought we'd try the Perth route but as you said way too stressful. And Qantas has lost our business....flown twice with them in the last year and both times they have lost our bags!!!!
