My family text me. If I need to speak to them or them to me I just ring from Bali.
Be careful of your mobile contract. My microphone went in my Bali phone so hubby rang me on his 3 phone stating "It doesn't cost much". He was right it only cost him $4.50 but it cost me $19 to receive his call. It was 3 to 3 mobiles which is normally free.
I now have a new Bali phone (one I use in Bali with a Pro XL Bali Sim card) so that won't happen again.
