We have been to bali and phuket many times and find that we are always over the limit despite our best intentions. This year (June) we are going to be smarter about it. Most of your luggage allowance is actually taken up by the weight of the case (approx 8 kg) This time round we are going to take some of those awful large zip up red, blue and white striped storage bags which weigh nothing, we are going to double bag them for strength and then anything that is not breakable is going in those bags. Have checked with the airlines, we can take as many bags as add up to 20kg. I do have images of clothes scattered around the luggage conveyer, but will give it a go.
