We take cash AUD and change it at Kodak Shops for rupiah, the rate is good and they don't rip you off, but still check your money before leaving.
My husband has also found a honest exchange place where we can change $1000 at a time and be safe.
We leave our cash in the hotel safe and just change what we need for the day.
With the fraud going on with credit cards these days there is no way we would use one overseas.
