Thank you all for your help.I am a long term gout sufferer and have used and still do use most of the medicines mentioned.Indocid is the main choice of most medical practicioners to settle down attacks of gout and I use that medicine, but I also take 10 - 15 tinned or fresh cherries per day to keep attacks at bay. They definitely work. Also recommended by others are celery tablets but I cannot personally confirm their worth. Further causes are insufficient water intake in tropics which does not flush uric acid from urine and causes attacks. Last severe one I had was in Phuket which resulted in build up of TOPHI in toe and had to have it surgically drained on return to Melb.
Thanks again.
