I was about to start a renovation at my Doctors surgery and was in the middle of a very bad attack of the gout. I told him that if it was not better by the monday I would have to push the start time out. He gave me 2 tablets and the gout was completely gone in 2 hours. They were called prednislone. The attack was severe and had lasted 2 weeks. I now have these tablets always and use only when I get a bad case of gout. 1 tablet a day of zyloprim and colgout when an attack starts is usually enough.
