We stayed there last month. It is a bit of a walk to Monkey forest road(say about 20 min) but well worth it as you walk past homes and see the locals going about there business. At the end of the road is a back way through the monkey Forest itself. Great to walk through and see the monkeys. Takes you right onto the bottom of Monkey Forest Road. I would not walk this at night even the locals at the restaurants did not recommend this. They will phone for you to the BS and the shuttle will be there within 15 minutes to collect you from your restuarant. Cinta Restaurant in particulary where fantastic at helping us with this. Do not let the walk put you off, it was one of my concerns and I would still stay there again.
