Hi Forumites, you all have given awesome advice in the past so now I am relying on you to help me again!
I've only been to bali once, but fell in love that time and want to go back! I have convinced my bride to be that bali would be a great destination and now I need to figure out where in Bali we are going.
My darling, she can be a lil bit of a princess at times, and doesn't like too much grot.. or bad smells etc.. so I figure if I start her off in somewhere a bit more flash, perhaps upmarket then she might give Bali a chance rather than write it off after the first 30 mins from landing on the plane.
We went to Penang and Hong Kong and she was fine with both of them so I don't think she'll have a problem in Bali.
She is also still scared of being "framed" like chapel *rolls eyes and sighs*
Anwyays, she really is a lovely girl and will enjoy bali heaps but I want the hotel to provide an awesome first impression, be clean and not really run down, have nice food, have nice restaurants nearby and possibly a nice spa close by but not essential.
I was thinking not in Kuta itself as it might be a bit crowded and full on to start with, I'll drag her there after a couple days of getting acclimatised first :D I was thinking Seminyak might be a good place to stay, suggestions? Not keen on Nusa Dua as its a bit far from Kuta and Legian etc...
Btw we are late 20's and wanting to go like nights.
I'd prefer 4 star level or higher, we aren't super rich but ~ $100 a night, we can do or more if needed :)
