Asam Urat. A large pecentage of the crew I hang out with have gout in one form or another (It is nothing to do with too much beer).
If you have problems while here, there are various tablets available.
A good one comes in a small red sachet and is simply named Asam Urat, Flu Tulang. The cost of this is only 3,000rp for a pack of two tables.
There is also Recolfar which I believe is known elsewhere as Colgout.
Also available is a Chinese herbal tablet bearing the name Shoalin, Strong Shen Chow. This has a very strong celery smell.
Failing that limp into the Bali Senia Hotel in Jalan Danau Poso, Sanur and mention that you have gout. Nearly everyone there will offer you some assistance
