I have stayed there and found the hotel to be very comfortable and we will stay there again in Oct. The restaurant is excellent, staff very efficient; a shuttle takes you into town. As for walking into town I have never done it but I understand there is a path into town, The hotel is situated on a hill with the restaurant at the bottem overlooking the river.
