if she's worried about going there, why coerce her into it? Why not try somewhere you would both be happy with?
I think feeling safe or scared is an individual thing. My brother can't believe I've planned a trip to Bali in July - worried also about bombing, etc... He's an example of someone I'd never try to take to Bali!!!
The first time I planned to go to Bali, I had constant nightmares, and called it off and went to Phuket instead! Had a ball there! Now I'm heading to Bali for the first time in July. Looking forward to it, and I'm not scared like I was before...
