Hi there kawrider. When you are in Bali you do feel totally safe. You very rarely hear of anything happening whilst there. the last time i went was three years ago and i felt absolutely safe. dont let the bombings get to you or your partner. I have been twice since the bombings and not once did i even think of the happenings whilst over there. as for sightseeing..i have heard many great things about the recently established Bali Safari and Marine Park in Gianyar. Take her to the monkey forest in Ubud...the monkeys are a great sight...perhaps take a drive up to the Kintamani Volcano (Bali's only active volcano)... waterbomb park perhaps in Kuta, great shopping in the kuta art markets and in the air conditioned shopping malls around kuta. for a more romantic day or night take your partner on the bali hai cruises. the dinner cruise is quite nice and relaxing. Im going back May 2 - May 11th staying in Seminyak...Cant wait....Good luck and have a great holiday....:)
