Hey audinary its not ridiculous,its tropical waters, 2 years ago my son and I were doing a surf check at well known Sri Lanka just down from Sanur and our attention was taken by a local, scoop netting fish for a local aquarium shop in the shallow channel which all surfers walk across prior to paddling out to the reef, we inspected his catch which included 2 stonefish. Also some years back a mate of mine stood on one at Padang Padang in the shallows of the bay, the pain involved and 2 different local doctors slicing his wound open over a two week period is not something he will forget.He was lucky.
