I've always wondered, because our guide was telling us an experience with his family, and then one day we were walking down the street kuta beach and having been all together(hubby myself and 4 teenage sons) 24/7 for 10days with our partically charming 13yr son continually picking at and teasing the 11yr old son I'd had enough and clipped him across the top of his head taking his cap off(wasnt heavy handed)and out from no where can this balinese women and yelled at me NO DONT HIT HIM IN THE HEAD smack him on the bum, no hit him in the head and then she came over to me and as I tryed to explain that he has been driving us mad and it wasnt heavy handed ( our 13yr old smiling) she took me by the left hand rubbing it and went on to ask where you have your nails done and where you stay. Anyway we came home and had a year of lots of bad luck, really out of the ordinary bad luck. I did wonder about that women and now you tell me about the left hand thingy!. I must say though it has passed and I havnt been turned off Bali have been back since. I do beleive if you have positive thoughts, positive things follow. just thought I would share my experience.
