we love Ubud and always stay there for 2 or 3 nights every trip (done that twice now and again this October). Absolutely love the contrast in Ubud to Kuta/Legian/Seminyak area where we also stay for about 7 nights. One of these days we will probably stay in Ubud completely and do a day trip to Kuta instead.
