..as a matter of fact there is a big effort being made out of the private sector (yayasan bali galang) to digitalise all the Lontar and issue them in CD-ROM format so that fewer and fewer people will need to handle the originals and contribute to their slow disintegration. If your Bahasa Indonesia is strong enough, google babadbali and you will get to their site. There are also links to other, related web sites, mostly in Indonesian, a few in Balinese(!)
