Just read your post with interest. I buy all my mums and my own MT from supernova and I've never had any problems.
The system is that you select your products at the beauty counter, the girl writes out a little slip in duplicate or triplicate and gives you a copy of the slip, then she takes the products over to the cashier, where you pay cash or credit. The cashier is located at the side and they have the credit swiping facilities on the desk, just like a normal eftpos type setup. This is the fairly standard procedure, same as in Centro, Matahari, Ramayana, Tiara Dewata.
I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting your post or not, but if you wanted to pay by credit, you should be doing so at the cashier. There's no need to take your card 'out the back'. If you don't have enough cash and need to withdraw from your savings account, there are a couple of ATMs, they are outside the back entrance to Supernova.
