you can take what ever you like in your suitcases as long as it is legal. We take a glass bottle of raspberry cordial every trip and we just wrap it up in 2 or 3 plastic shopping bags then sticky tape it then we put it inside a pair of of my husbands thick leather slip on sandles, never had one break yet but.... there is always a first time LOL
