If you enter a traditional Balianese house you will notice that it is designed so that you walk up a stair or Two and have to turn right or left as you face a wall, Then on entering yoyu will cross a stream of running water.The houses are designed this way to stop evil spirits entering .
Spirits cannot climb stairs Turn corners or cross running water!!!
