We have stayed at the bali rani in 2005 and 2007.
no pool activities, to get a sun lounge we had to sneek out at about 2.ooam and put clothes on the lounge to make sure we had one for the morning. No swim up bar, but they have a pool side bar, they do have a happy hour but we found it cheaper and easier to make our own drinks.
If you get a pool side room go for 136,136 or 137 close to pool and you get afternoon shade if you want to sit outside your room and look over to pool area.
