so may be a bit biased. We really like the place obviously or we wouldn't have bought into the timeshare scheme there. It is a lovely resort BUT if you like the hustle and bustle of Kuta/Legian/Tuban and even Sanur it may be too quiet for you.
It is a fair distance from anything, not walking distance definitely but you can easily get reception to call you a Bluebird Taxi, they also have hotel cars & drivers but they are about twice the cost of a Bluebird taxi!
Retaurant is fairly reasonable but drinks are quite pricey. We stayed in a studio room and in this we had a huge bed, lounge/sofa, other chairs, tv and all the normal things, bathroom and part kitchen which was equipped with a fairly big fridge, microwave, jug and toaster and all crockery and cutlery and glassware for two people.
They have a shuttle bus that goes to Kuta, Legian, Nusa Dua and Padang on different days (all except Saturday). We used to get the shuttle bus to Kuta or Legian at about 1pm do whatever we wanted there and then have dinner and get a taxi back for about 80,000rp.
On a couple of days we used to get a taxi to Jimbaran Bay beach at about 1pm and spend the afternoon on deck chairs with umbrella outside the Rainbow Cafe, they would keep bringing Bintangs out to us and we would spend out time sunbaking and swimming until it was time for dinner and they would set up the table near the water for us to have our seafood dinner watching the sunset and then we would get a taxi back to the resort.
You can also hire drivers just utside the boom gate, they are the same drivers that the hotel uses but it is cheaper if you organise with them directly.
There are shops and restaurants at the Jimbaran Hills township but you still need to be driven there unless you are very energetic, a couple of k's at least.
We stayed in Club Oasis section which we thought was great.
Any other queries just email me, I have left my email addy open. Cheers, Karen
