Flown with Qatar on to Thailand and Bali from the UK. The airline is fine, staff generally very good and the food ok and I would say on a par with emirates. Although the terminal at Doha has improved considerably over the years it is still quite small and the new one will not be ready until 2009. If you are there for more than a couple of hours it is worth paying for the lounge. No alcohol but comfy quiet and snacks available. What I do like is that all their aircraft are airbus with a 2-4-2 set up, so if you are travelling as a couple it is possible to book a two seater and not risk the passenger from hell sitting next to you. They must be ok we have booked to use them again later this year.
