Selamat pagi, When I go to Bali now, I apply for a six months visa, so I dont have to do a visa run if I want to stay longer, for me it is worth the extra visa cost vs going to malaysia or Singapore and having to stay the required minimum nights.
If you dont have an Indonesian friend there to sponsor you, I have used Tari at Bali Mode which is a company who specialises in visas, sponsorships etc. It is very inexpensive, and I just email her and within a couple of days I have(legally) the two required documents and then apply to the Consulate here for the visa. You must have a ticket, showing arrival and departure date to accompany the visa application.butt if these dates have to be changed for any reason after the visa is granted, then no problem.
