You can then spend the day getting there, looking at sights on the way, wandering around Ubud town, have a fantastic massage late afternoon, have a swim , go somewhere great for dinner. Maybe Indus??
Realx, take in Ubud, it deserves much more than a quick drive up and back from Kuta.
